The Blogging Bug…
Almost everyone’s got it now, and it’s spreading like fire on fuel. Brilliant.
Everyone has a blog. Everyone that doesn’t have one, wants one. Yes ALI, you do too. Admit it. Admit it.
From Shweta‘s republican attacks to Harry‘s homosexuality, things are indeed getting interesting. Nothing “Secret-Dubai-awe-stirring-like” though – Harry‘s coming close. Ashiq‘s getting wiser, but his blog ain’t going anywhere, even though the 3 posts he has are brilliantly brilliant. Consistency is vital. The Cryptic is somewhat revived, thank God. Romit’s memory is pushing along. Vent-spaces are growing and daring moves are being made – ‘Sex & Dubai‘ – unbelievable. ‘Sex & Dubai‘ (who is referred to as a person) is actually a part of the UAE Blog Community. Oh, and I advice all you fellow UAE-based bloggers to register to the UAE Blog Community to increase hits, and spread the fact that “they know they want it”. Also registering yourself with Technorati is another way of officially establishing yourself in the blogosphere.
All you other budding dogmats (:P), get hold of a blog. It’s simple, it’s a way of growing, it’s entertaining, it’s your way of being a part of the world wide web that is making our world smaller and smaller, it’s your newspaper, it’s your memory, it’s your way of being heard, it’s your way of connecting with world and making those previously-impossible contacts, it’s your space – you do what you want with it – enjoy it. Rajiv, Republican – you would do really well with one.
Blog on!
P.S. Maths = screwed.

3 hours ago lish and i were discussing this. damn u malpani, tho i guess u get preferencw!
Thank you for your frilliant compliment.
I agree, my blog sure ain’t goin’ anywhere. I don’t feel guilty about not being regular, though. I use my blog to capture the best of my emotions. Maybe not the happiest, but certainly the best. Over the past months, I’ve written quite a few posts, but none of them have made it on to my blog. Somehow, I cannot bring myself to put one of them up, simply because they’re not good enough. By that I mean that despite the quality of the language being top-notch, I don’t have a point. I cannot go on with something unless I see an end to it. It doesn’t matter whether I succeed or fail, as long as I’ve tried to make a point, I’m content. However, none of the stuff I’ve written recently has had any major significance. Whether it makes for good reading or not, I refuse to put any of it up.
I’d rather put up a rock-solid something once in a while than put up something that’s half as good, or even nearly as good frequently.
All said and done, you’ll be happy to know that I’m in the process of writing my next post, which will be followed by another post that has already been prepared. And since you have been most patient and most forgiving of all readers, you shall get a sneak preview. Tejas, on the other hand, removed the link from his blog to my blog. Fair enough.
Just wanted to make a correction..it’s Rajiv..not Rajeev:P and Srini already has a blog..only its on msn spaces and not a blogspot..i recall Rajiv having one briefly..not sure if he still has it(again it was on msn spaces)
I didn’t get a recommendation publicity thing π HA! Just kidding, you’re right, everyone seems to have a blog. Just what that Ms. Nikhil and I were discussing the other day, or maybe she was blabbering and I was sleeping, but whatever, no-one seems to be blogless, which is nice, but also a little you know, taking-away-the-privacy-and-making-it-n00bish, but I don’t know, I mean I’m still a n00b and I dont know if I’ll ever grow out of it. You can ignore this comment if you want, I’m taking out my sleeplessness on you. Sorry. Nice change to your blog. It’s…. serene.
sorry pri and raj,
yeah i have read srini’s blog before – but msn spaces are very inconvenient when it comes to blogging. not too easy to access. ask ashiq. to srini – blogspot, rediffblogs, livejournal – any are worth adapting.
and rajiv’s blog – yeah i think i have read parts of it too, and again msn spaces – to blah.
Ashiq: Sometimes what might seem pointless to you, might actually be extremely thought-provoking for others. there is no harm in posting stuff whether its good or bad – cause honestly, you never really know until you get a response. But hey, that’s what I feel. It’s your blog, you do what you want with it – waiting patiently for ur next epic π
Its getting sad Anish. You’re dropping in quality (your response to this post will most definately be – “its-my blog”). :p
I think you’re trying too hard to be someone your not; or rather forcing yourself to be this guy who’s witty in a random sort of way. I think this randomness really isn’t you. Then again, you probably know you better. (All in reference to your blog subtitle – you’re the “do you really care” Anish, not the “random” guy.)
Nothing against you Anish, I really appreciate Ashiq’s thing of doing something good instead of substandard BS if you really want to do something. Do it well rather than do more.
Very thought provoking comment lakshmy it made me question my bloody existance
anonymous @ 11:51 – thanks for the feedback – respect ur honesty. will try and reconsider.
“anonymous” is a good way of being blunt, honest and hard-hitting. it works.
Other: so, yeah it does make sense what u are trying to say. but then again do something rather than nothing.
You know what Anish,
I was about to do the “UAE Community” thing, but I was gonna ask you first to make a student community, makes it more easier for students to connect and relate with each other.
And for Anonymous,
I really don’t know why you commented for a post like this. I don’t think that Anish is trying to fill blog space for the sake of it. This was a message to all other bloggers. If he wrote some crap about life that actually didn’t really mean anything, perhaps then.
Yes and also the fact that you address yourself as anonymous…I don’t know, as blunt as it maybe Anish, its still bugging(especially when the you and the person know each other).
I dunno.
My opinion.
Oh and by the way, Revamping your blog?
Not Bad.
I wonder if you were inspired by ‘In Search of Light’, who incidently removed the links shortly after my post. How Sad. π
Tejas: The comment wasn’t directed towards his post, it was directed towards his new blog heading, and subheading, which, by the way, is changed now(that’s more you Anish). One of the reasons I choose to stay anonymous in this post is that it doesn’t make a difference if he knows who I am or not.
I like the new look.
You hit the bullseye again, Anish.
I write for the sole reason of provoking thoughts and seeing them in comments. I write only to see how others feel. Keeping that in mind, I guess anything I write will probably make a difference. I must admit that I’ve given this some thought earlier, but somehow I’ve never come to terms with ‘something’s better than nothing.’ Who knows for sure? I may actually agree with it someday. For now, I’m sticking to my guns.
Thanks Anish, for making me think.
ello Anish! Youve nagged and nagged and finally gotten alot of us to do it! Honestly thank you, it’s made a difference. I JUST learnt how to get a link on my blog so sorry for the delay but some of you are on it! As for the look..change it back i miss the old one!! Kidding, it works! Sex and Dubai, ahaha who’da thunk?!
Anyhow look forward to your next post, I should have one by tomorrow too if my post math depression doesn’t lead to slitting!
Tally ho!
wanna jump up in my lamborghini gallardo.maybe go to my place and just kick it like taebo.and possibly bend you over..look back and watch me smack that..well..this is my first post..didnt know what to say..so i put in some lyrics..i hope nothing wrong..anywayz.ciao
Santosh
No, Anish. I prefer hankering onto my lil space. Not a blog – I honestly comment only when I feel something big comes up. For the present, I choose to remain a Republican (right-wing) commentator. Dignity will be maintained. I always felt the need of spirited but respectable argument. The occassional foray into indignity is to increase the spirit of the argument.

hey anish….listen u should have changed ure blog design on ure blog new year…. would have been more app. Anyways new look is great.
